Isla Mujeres

  • Is a small island, about 5 minutes from Cancun. Measures about 5 miles long and 1
  • 2 mile at its widest point.
  • Was formed by ocean currents that deposited sediments in the area.
  • It is believed that the name given by the Spanish, in the 16th century, was due to the images of goddesses found.
  • Every summer, whale sharks migrate to the warm waters around Isla Mujeres.
  • The only way to reach the island is to take a boat from Puerto Juarez or the Hotel Zone.

Playa Norte. White sand beach that invites you to swim or practice water sports.

Garrafon Park. Is a natural park with a majestic coral reef. This paradise has zip lines, a restaurant, a pool and other amenities.

Goddess Ixchel. At the highest point of the Yucatan Peninsula, are the remains of the Mayan Temple dedicated to Ixchel, the goddess of fertility.

Hacienda Mundaca. Built by Fermin Mundaca (pirate and slave trader). It is considered one of the main historical sites of the island.

MUSA. Is a museum with more than 400 sculptures of life-size figures by Jason de Caires Taylor

Dolphin Discovery. Is the ideal place to enjoy a spectacular day, with family, providing the opportunity to swim with dolphins.

El Farito Reef.. Is part of the Marine Park of Isla Mujeres. There you will find many marine species of spectacular color and different kind of reefs.

The Cruz Bay. Was placed in commemoration of the founding of Isla Mujeres. It measures 3 meters high, 12 meters deep. It is made of bronze and stands on the reef Manchones.
