watching turtles. on summer,
thousands of turtles arrive to
spawn at punta Mosquito; at night
they dig nests. After depositing
dozens of eggs, they return to the
ocean. The cycle is completed with
the birth of small turtles that are
later released to the ocean.

Scuba and Snorkel . The island is
the ideal place for scuba diving
and snorkeling with its calm and
clear waters. You can also see the
vast diversity of flora and fauna:
turtles, dolphins, stingrays and
variety of colorful fish and, of
course, the whale shark.

in the morning to a quiet lagoon
called Yalahau. This is the perfect
place to watch them, sometimes
with their young, since they are
used to the boats. Baby dolphins
are born in the summer, and also
you can see them.

alimentarse en sus aguas, lo que

Cenote Yalahau. Cool freshwater
spring that flows within the crys-
talline salt water, known as the
“fountain of youth.” Here you can
swim in the morning with the dol-
phins that come to feed on min-
nows or see the flamingos landing
near this magical place.
